COME & SING GABRIELI in Tisbury with the Cherubim Choir
Eastertide 7+8 April 2018
Our Gabrieli weekend includes three sessions of choral training in cori spezzati style directed by Greg Skidmore, culminating in a concert accompanied by Exeter Symphony Orchestra Brass and Michael Maxwell Steer organ.
- Moderate music-reading ability required, but help will be given.

Greg Skidmore is greatly in demand as singer and conductor. A member of I Fagiolini, he has sung with most of the major professional English choirs as well as many in Europe and his native Canada. He also performs extensively as a baritone soloist in music of all periods. Greg conducts the Lacock Scholars and leads choir workshops and courses specialising in renaissance polyphonic repertoire, here and in France, Canada, New Zealand and Australia in association with The Sixteen and I Fagiolini.
Saturday: Choral Rehearsal 1000-1300. 1430-1800
Sunday: Orchestral Rehearsal 0930-1230. Full Rehearsal 1330-1515. Concert 1600-1700

Tisbury is the friendliest village in Wiltshire, with excellent cafés, pubs and a good range of shops. Equidistant from Bath and Southampton, it lies midway between Salisbury and Shaftesbury, near A303 and A30, and is on the main Waterloo–Exeter train line. There is ﬁrst-rate walking from the village, with gastro pubs within easy reach, plus a good range of local accommodation. Please ask for a list.
