What could be a more enjoyable way of welcoming September than expanding your ears, mind and waist simultaneously?

In Tisbury parish church, SP3 4NF, on Sunday 4 September at 15:30 the Brooks sisters, who both study harp with RCM professor Daphne Boden at the Purcell School and jointly share the Cherubim concert harp, are coming to entertain supporters of the Trust with a superb recital – which we shall be filming.

Book online It costs nothing to reserve a seat. There is a charge for the optional cream tea. Or book in person at Tisbury PO.

Their programme includes concert solos by Saint-Saëns. Pierné, Grandjany; popular duets include Pachelbel’s Canon, Greensleeves, Shenandoah and traditional Irish harp music by O’Carolán; plus a Q&A opportunity.

The Trust is presenting this concert as a fund-raiser, but to experiment with making it more accessible we are inviting donations rather than charging for entry. There will however be a £6 per head charge for optional cream teas in the interval – with scones and strawberry jam (some alcoholic) mostly made by Clancy. In order to assist with catering it will be very helpful indeed if those intending to come would book.
