Jenni Moss has had an exciting start to the year. She was performing in a new opera company, Siren Operatic Productions, led by soprano Marienella Phillips as artistic director. The production was themed around the Seven Deadly Sins, with arias and scenes representing each of the Sins performed by singers from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Jenni says: ‘I arranged and directed the small ensemble directed. We performed in 5 different locations around Cardiff, varying from a coffee shop to a ‘Gluttonous’ Christmas performance at Mansion House, the official residence of the Mayor of Cardiff, where this photo was taken. The opera Itself was a really interesting and worthwhile project’.
Siren Opera has now been asked to provide the entertainment for a fundraiser for Music in Hospitals this year. Jenni herself is also involved with fundraising for it by running the Cardiff Half Marathon and busking with my Quintet, Caron Winds. She writes: ‘My Cherubim Eb clarinet has had the pleasure of playing in Mahler 6 recently. It enjoys the top As as much as I do….‘
