Double Bass - Hungarian ¾ size 'Gabriel Steer' (2024) with C extn, CF bow & bag
Anish is a Double Bassist from Chennai, India currently at The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire on a full scholarship pursuing PGCert. Diploma in Double Bass studies having already completed a B.Com at Madras University. He has been working for the Oscar Award Winning Film Composer Dr. AR Rahman for the past ten years. Contributing to film scores in well-known films such as Ponniyin Selvan, Tamasha, Pele, and No Man’s Land along with a documentary on the famous cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. He has performed in an honorary concert for MS Subbulakshmi at the United Nations and has performed internationally at places such as the Twin Towers, Malaysia, Mujib’s 100th birthday celebration in Bangladesh, and Adyar Cancer Institute for Cancer Awareness, India. Anish has recorded for Indian music directors such as Ilayaraja, Thaman, and Anirudh and has recently performed for Isha Ambani’s wedding, the top 10 richest men in the world, and the Fide 44th Chess Olympiad.
Along with performing he is also interested in arranging music and have arranged strings for a TedX talk featuring Khatija Rahman and has composed a patriotic song in the Kannada language as well as working on string arrangements for an upcoming Tamil film.
Alongside music Anish has a strong passion for writing as well as painting and has penned his first fictional book called “Z State: The Journey” which is available on Amazon Kindle.
