Oliver Porritt

Violin – Hidalgo Moya (1917) 'Peter Caunce' & Tubbs copy bow

Oliver is one of our newest awardees having recently taken loan of our 20thC Moya violin offered to Cherubim from a Tisbury local and retired member of the RLPO, Peter Caunce, who had actively used this violin all his professional life.
Oliver is hoping to be accepted to further his music studies in 2024 and is currently attending Christ's Hospital School in West Sussex. He has received many awards in Devizes Eisteddfod over many years and is an active member of Christs Hospital Symphony orchestra, senior string quartet, chamber orchestra, choir and big band. He is hoping to enhance his playing with the Moya to enable further steps towards a career in music.
