She has performed in various orchestral and solo concerts and has featured in prestigious events such as the "Hubei Wind Music Association New Year Concert" (2023-2024) and the "New Jiangnan Spring Wind Festival" in Shanghai (2023).
Her dedication to musical excellence is also reflected in her academic achievements, becoming the recipient of the Outstanding Graduate Thesis Award from Wuhan Conservatory of Music for her research on Vanhal’s Double Bass Concerto in D Major.
The Mirecourt double bass loaned from the Cherubim Music Trust has greatly boosted Qingyu's confidence in performances with it's enhanced tone and sound quality. Recent performances at Birmingham Symphony Hall and within Royal Birmingham Conservatoire have reinforced Qingyu's intentions to expand her performance career and continue exploring the expressive possibilities of the double bass as she develops as a musician.
