SUMMARY:England's Deep Song
DESCRIPTION:A beautiful journey to the roots of english song – from Downland’s 17thC blues to Vaughan Williams’ melodic House of Life cycle\, including Purcell & 20thC romantics Butterworth & Quilter\, culminating in Tippet’s Songs for Ariel and the premiere of Three Poems of Robert Bridges by Michael Maxwell Steer. \n \nScottish tenor Archie Inns has been described as the freshest voice of his generation. Now on a Masters at the RCM\, where he recently sang Acis & Galatea\, Archie won a major prize at last year’s Oxford International Song Festival. He & Alfred Fardell have recorded Maxwell’s Neruda Songs. Archie sings with many professional choirs such as the BBC Singers. \n🎟️ Book here for a wonderful evening.

SUMMARY:An Impressionist At The Piano
DESCRIPTION:A cabaret evening with one of today’s great comedy talents\na totally different night out in aid of charity! \nAlistair McGowan has long been known for his devastatingly accurate impressions\, winning a BAFTA for his BBC series The Big Impression. He appears regularly on radio and TV\, and was nominated for an Olivier Award for his performance in nationwide stage tour of Little Shop of Horrors. In 2015 he threw himself into the piano and emerged two years later with a #1 Classical Chart hit ‘The Piano Album’ on Sony Classical. In 2023\, he created the Ludlow Piano Festival. \nAlistair interweaves comedy and impressions with attractive short popular piano pieces mostly by contemporary composers – and also reads from his two recently-published poetry collections ‘Not What We Were Expecting’ and ‘Like Never Before’. \n \nAlistair will be joined by two Cherubim Young Musicians: Dafydd Owen\, our own comedy ‘u-Tuba’ and Marikit Akiwumi\, singer\, multi-instrument-alist & awardee of the ‘Anne Holmes’ baritone sax. \nTo celebrate our anniversary we are fund-raising for a fourth harp\, as these £30\,000 instruments are unaffordable to most young musicians. Cherubim is probably unique in the world offering this range of instruments – and it all began with the vision of Clancy Steer in Tisbury 25 years ago. \nJoin us for this unforgettable evening of music and mirth\, celebrating our XXV Anniversary. \nAll seating is at tables. Front seats £45\,  Rear seats £30.\nWine & soft drinks are available. \n🎟️ Book here for a wonderful evening.\nAnyone interested in group transport is recommended to tisbus.co.uk\nEnquiries: Maxwell Steer\, mms@cherubimtrust.org
