Job Title: Social Media Manager

Hours: 20-25 hours per month

Salary: £23p/h

About Us:
Cherubim Music Trust is a national charity that loans professional calibre orchestral instruments to advanced music students aged 15-25 who cannot afford one that matches their ability. As Social Media Manager, you will play a vital role in Cherubim’s growing online presence, engaging with young musicians, and attracting new supporters and donors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy and Planning: Oversee and manage Cherubim’s social media accounts on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, developing tailored strategies for each platform to drive growth and foster engagement.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with instrumental awardees to gather content showcasing their achievements. Collaborate with internal team members to create content that promotes available instruments and highlights the Trust’s mission.

  • Content Creation: Develop high-quality and engaging photo and video content using tools such as Canva and Adobe Suite. Aim for a consistent posting schedule with at least 3 posts per week on each platform to showcase Cherubim’s work and impact.

  • Community Engagement: Cultivate and retain Cherubim’s existing online community. Build relationships using interactive tools with music stores, music hubs, conservatoires, and schools to expand the Trust’s reach and visibility.

  • Analytics and Insights: Regularly monitor social media performance metrics, providing clear reports with actionable insights and recommendations to improve engagement and reach.

  • Event Promotion: Promote upcoming concerts and events organized by the Trust through social media channels. Manage paid advertising campaigns across Meta platforms where appropriate.

  • Website Updates: Ensure that key news and updates are regularly shared on Cherubim’s website, soon migrating to WordPress, to keep the site current and aligned with social media efforts.

 

Key Skills and Experience:

  • A passion for music with specific understanding of the classical music landscape. 

  • Proven experience in social media management, content creation and copywriting.

  • Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) and analytics tools.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Creative skills and experience using Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar design tools.

  • Video editing skills, particularly for creating engaging short-form content on TikTok, and for editing and repurposing YouTube videos.

  • Knowledge of WordPress or other website content management systems is a plus.
