A new awardee for the Smilie Cello - Samuel Ng

We are delighted to welcome Samuel Ng to the Cherubim Music Trust as the new awardee of our Smillie cello. Samuel is currently a student at the Royal College of Music where he is an RCM Scholar supported by a Musicians' Company Lambert Studentship and a Music Scholarship Trust Award from the Raphael Sommer Trust. So far his performance highlights include his concerto debut playing Prokofiev’s Sinfonia Concertante and an appearance at the Vienna Musikverein at the age of 19, performing for the Vienna Philharmonic Ball. In addition to this Samuel is a keen chamber music player and also has an interest in historically informed performance working with the baroque ensemble La Serenissima and as a founding member of the Hogarth Quartet.
