Introducing horn awardee, Esmé MacBride-Stewart

We have another new awardee; introducing the talented Esmé MacBride-Stewart. Esmé loans our Paxman ‘Gosling’ Horn and is currently studying on the Royal Northern College of Music/University of Manchester joint course.

Esmé has been a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland’s Junior and Symphony orchestras, and has performed in prestigious venues all over Scotland. Since moving to Manchester, she has performed with the Manchester University Symphony Orchestra, the RNCM Wind Orchestra and the Manchester Young Sinfonia. She has also recently formed her own orchestra, the Bash-Through Chamber Orchestra, whose aim is to run short sessions to rehearse an orchestral piece and then create a recording at the end, providing invaluable experience for student musicians and conductors who are sourced from either the RNCM or UoM.

We can’t wait to follow Esmé’s musical endeavours; she certainly looks and sounds at home with the Paxman horn.
