Cherubim’s director, Michael Maxwell Steer, and our baritone sax awardee, Marikit Rocks, recently attended a really interesting Parliamentary Group about music education for the wellbeing of children. The event was presented and performed by renowned professionals including soprano Nadine Benjamin, pictured here with Marikit, and violinist Michael Bochmann.
The session looked at how music has a part in well-being and personal development, and why music education should start early and be part of the curriculum in primary schools.
