Welcome to our new Awardee Qingyu Mu

Having moved to the UK from China, Qingyu is currently pursuing her master's in performance at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire developing her skills in both classical and contemporary fields.

Qingyu began her studies at Wuhan Conservatory of Music, where she developed a strong classical foundation under the guidance of esteemed instructors completing her undergraduate degree in Music Performance in 2024. At the age of 18, she began performing in prominent venues such as Wuhan Qintai Concert Hall and in 2023 she earned international recognition for her talent, winning the Excellence Award at the Singapore International Double Bass Festival.

We are very pleased to welcome her as the recipient of the Mirecourt Double Bass and hope she enjoys her time as a Cherubim Musician.
