Cello - Jacob Ford (attrib) "Brayshaw" 18thC

Jacob Ford was working in London around 1770-1795, it would appear supplying to Duke, Simpson, and Thompson, as his signature is found within instruments bearing those labels.

This beautiful presumed Jacob Ford cello has been in the Brayshaw family since 1890. Thought to have been made around 1785, the instrument boasts a beautiful, velvety tone with excellent projection. It has a warm, well-projected sound and is very easy to play, making it perfect for an aspiring young musician. It still has its original boxwood pegs, adding beauty and character to the instrument.
