Double Bass: Mirecourt mid 19thC (attr JX Jacquet pére, aka Jacquet le grand, d.1867). The property of Christine Fox, the bass has coloruful life, having been taken to the US, before being repatriated by the Martins (Double Bass royalty). It was then bought by Jeremy Watt who used it in Australia, before returning it to the UK where it underwent substantial restoration by Laurence Ungless, including Rabbath hole and bass bar replacement.
It is offered with a case but without a bow.
