This 20thC ‘Brian’ (named after it’s donor Jane Smith’s father) Cello was made in Mirecourt style by Jean Baptiste Colin. Most of Colin’s models were based on Stradivari and are similar to Collin-Mezin style instruments. This beautiful cello was fully refurbished by luthier Dante Zufolo, is of exceptional quality wood and has been revarnished in the original deep orange typical of it’s age.
It has a deep resonant sound and a wide variety of colours that will enable our awardee to access the next stage in their musical journey.
