This year Cherubim celebrates its XXV Anniversary, having been founded in 2001. We start our Anniversary year with an updated Angel logo, which you can see throughout this website and our social media.

We have a number of exciting events planned throughout the year, featuring Cherubim awardees from the very first year of the Trust. Follow the links on this page to see details of each event, including locations and booking details.

XXV Anniversary Appeal

This year we are appealing for £100,000 with which to fund Cherubim’s next steps, including the purchase of our fourth concert harp, to which the first £30,000 of our appeal target will be allocated. You can track the progress to this target below.

Our Cherubim Collection, now 80 instruments, could well reach 100 by the end of the year given the rate of instrument loans and donations we are receiving from individuals who clearly value the benefits that Cherubim brings to our young musicians. We now have over 70 Cherubim Awardees, itself a number that has grown tremendously in the last few years.

This means the back office aspects of conservation, record-keeping and the loan and return of instruments is requiring increasing time and professional management. Happily we have the professionals in the shape of Arturo Serna Deputy Director, Awardees & Instruments and Sarah Brooks as administrator, backed up by our Treasurer Stephen Welford. But we do need an enhanced endowment to generate income to meet these rising costs.
