Siren Song – Port Regis

A hauntingly immersive acoustic program for flute, piano performed by Cherubim Young Musician Lily Owens with Emma Walker at World Heart Beat Studios: 7.30: Sat 25 Jan. The climax of the programme is Siren Song, a 22’ commission from Proms composer James B Wilson by Cherubim Music Trust with ambient audiophonics by Finn Murphy & visuals by Sam Steer. “An acoustic fantasy, where the flute becomes a dream narrative, flowing effortlessly through many musical and sonic environments, from imaginary streets and half-remembered rooms to vivid musical encounters.” The evening also includes Spiegel by Arvo Pärt, Vermont Counterpoint by Steve Reich & China Gatesby John Adams.
