The Stone House in Lewisham, London was a wonderful setting for two outstanding performances by Cherubim Awardees Nirvana Che-Lai (Klotz ‘Scotchmer’ violin) and Emily Li (Krutz ‘Brodrick-Barker’ violin) of the Bach Double Violin Concerto, accompanied bySebastian Johns, Director of Music, Eltham College, and by Marina Shevlin (Buffet ‘Mellor-Calvert’ Eb clarinet) accompanied by Katya Grabova, recent winner of the Aspen Piano Prize, of the Brahms Clarinet Sonata.
Stone House is an architectural jewel, recreated as a private concert space by Mrs Yvonne Horsfall-Turner & her late husband.
