Andrew Taheny in a Flourishing Season of Baroque Performance

Cherubim Awardee Andrew Taheny continues to build an impressive and wide-ranging profile within the UK’s early music scene, with an especially busy and rewarding season so far in 2026.

Andrew has performed with the Hallé and La Serenissima, and recently took part in his first project as a member of the 2026/27 OAE Experience Scheme — an important milestone in his professional development. His baroque chamber ensemble, Les Acolytes, was also selected to participate in the New Generation Baroque Ensemble Development Day at the Royal College of Music, further reflecting the ensemble’s growing reputation.

Earlier this season, Andrew performed with Manchester Baroque, appearing as soloist in Telemann’s Triple Violin Concerto. The coming months promise an equally exciting schedule, with further performances alongside the Hallé, La Serenissima, Les Acolytes, Manchester Baroque, Eboracum Baroque and the Hanover Band.

He will also tour with Musica Antica Rotherhithe in support of their forthcoming debut album of seventeenth-century Venetian opera music — repertoire that lies at the heart of the historically informed performance tradition.

Congratulations to Andrew on a remarkable season — we look forward to following his continued success.
