Aurelien Pinchon


French cellist Aurelien Pinchon is currently based in London where he enjoys a varied career as a modern and baroque cellist, and teacher. Praised for his fine and sensitive playing, he is a most curious and versatile musician. He regularly performs solo and chamber music recitals and plays with various ensembles and orchestra on modern and period instruments.

Passionate about chamber music, Aurelien has recently performed recitals at the Wolfson College Auditorium in Oxford, the Cobbe Collection at Hatchlands Park and the Handel & Hendrix House in London. An active orchestral musician, he has played with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the English National Opera and will join the Instruments of Time and Truth as an Early Career Artist for the 2025/26 season.

Aurelien is supported by the Linda Hill and Richard Goulding scholarships and is a full scholar at the Royal College of Music, where he studies modern and historical cello. He is most grateful to the Cherubim trust for the loan of a fine 1828 John Corsby “Spence” cello.
