Kiki is a 16 year-old cellist born in Canada of English and Japanese parents. She has been playing the cello since the age of 4. She was a student at the Junior Department of the Royal Academy Music between 2020 to 2023 and is currently
at The Yehudi Menuhin School, where she received a Music & Dance Scheme government scholarship and studies under Uno Cho.
At age of 9, Kiki was the youngest winner of the Open Recital Class of the Cambridge Competitive Music Festival. She made her concerto debut playing Bruch’s Kol Nidri and Haydn’s Cello Concerto in C with the London Youth String
Orchestra a few years later. More recently, she has appeared in concerts in Hungary, Austria, Germany and France. At home, she frequently performs in the Menuhin Hall in their live-broadcast concerts.
As the 2024 first prize winner of the Windsor & Maidenhead Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition (adjudicating
panel headed by Cherubim Patron, Tasmin Little), Kiki performed the Elgar Concerto with the WMSO in November 2025 to a capacity crowd.
Kiki has been a masterclass participant at Rutesheim Cello Akademie (Germany), Allegro Vivo (Austria), Cadenza and Music Works (UK), Académie Internationale d’Été de Nice (France) and Radolfzell (Germany). As a result of participating in
these courses, Kiki has had the privilege to study with International star cellists such as Natalie Clein, Gustav Rivinius, Marc Coppey, Alexander Bailie, Guy Johnston, and Laura van der Heiden.
Kiki is extremely grateful to receive a fine loan cello from the Cherubim Music Trust, a 2011 Guadagnini copy cello made by Robin Aitchison
