🎻 March 2026 Cherubim News Highlights 🎶
For 25 years Cherubim has quietly transformed the lives of 160 young musicians by giving them access to exceptional instruments. What began with a single cello has grown into the nationally recognised ‘Cherubim Collection’, currently supporting 60–70 performers.
To celebrate we would like your help in raising an endowment of £100,000 to secure the Trust’s future. £33,000 will go towards our fourth concert harp.
Why does Cherubim need to do this?
The Trust was founded by Clancy in 2001. For 15 years reserves were built up by taking minimal expenses. Initially acquisitions were 1-3 a year; but increasing public recognition has brought more offers to donate or loan instruments so that the Collection now stands at 80 – and could soon reach 100. This means that the hand-over and return of instruments is now more time-consuming for Arturo Serna with a corresponding increase in administration for Sarah Brooks.
We have been fortunate that two large bequests totalling over £200k have given the Trust some stability; but our most sustainable support comes from ongoing donors. We would urge you to consider that a monthly £20 with Gift Aid becomes £1500 in five years.
