Nadia Wilson

Nadia Wilson is a British/Japanese violinist based in Manchester and a recent graduate from the Royal Northern College of Music, where she studied with Julia Hanson. During her time at the RNCM, Nadia developed her passion for orchestral playing, and took part in a wide range of projects including concerts with the RNCM Symphony Orchestra at the Bridgewater Hall, RNCM Opera Orchestra, and collaborations with musicians from Manchester Camerata, the Academy of Ancient Music and Chamber Orchestra with Henning Kraggerud.

Alongside orchestral playing Nadia has also been active as a chamber musician, exploring both classical and contemporary repertoire. Recent chamber highlights include her piano quartet competing as finalists in the RNCM Weil Prize, and performing in venues within the city such as St Ann’s Church and Manchester Cathedral.

Nadia has also led her own creative projects, including directing a contemporary octet which performed at the Whitworth Art Gallery. In 2024 she attended the Music Embodied chamber course led by Krysia Osostowicz of the Brodsky Quartet, where she performed in a piano trio with Marie Bitlloch of the Elias Quartet, receiving coaching from both of them.

Nadia is deeply grateful to the Cherubim Music Trust for their generous support, through the loan of the Jonathan Woolston violin and Emile Miquel bow, which will enable her to continue her musical development and pursue new opportunities.
